(1) How do I login to MyDomain?

Login name: Your primary login name is your domain name. Once logged in you can set-up additional users. (If your website address is www.abc.co.uk then your domain name is abc.co.uk)

Password: Use the password you specified when registering for MyDomain.

(2) How do I check my email on the internet?

Go to http://webmail.yourdomain
e.g. if your website address is www.abc.co.uk then go to http://webmail.abc.co.uk

Login name: Use the first part of your email address.e.g. If your email address is paul.smith@abc.co.uk then your login name is paul.smith

Password: Use the password you specified when you created your email account.

(3) What are my email settings for Microsoft Outlook?

User name: Use the first part of your email address.

Password: Use the password you specified when you created your email account.

Incoming (POP3) mail server: mail.yourdomain

Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) will give you this. Here are some common ones:

(4) Where do I store my HTML files?
Once logged in to MyDomain you can upload files to your web space by clicking the "File Manager" option. Your website root directory is the one called "httpdocs".
(5) How do I deal with junk email or (SPAM)?

Before downloading your email each morning using your email client (e.g. MS Outlook) follow these steps:

(i) Login to MyDomain, see (1) above.

(ii) Under "Services" click on "Mail".

(iii) Click on the email address with which you are concerned.

(iv) Click on "Spam Filter".

(v) Click on "Training". In here you can fine tune your spam filter by telling it which of your emails are SPAM.

(vi) After just a few days of training, your SPAM filter should be near perfect.

(v) By default, SPAM messages are marked with the tag *****SPAM***** but still delivered to your mailbox. Once you are happy that your SPAM filter is working accurately you can change this setting to "Delete".

(6) How do I black list email addresses that keep on sending me junk email (SPAM)?

If you have trained youur SPAM filter and you are still getting unwanted email you can black list individual email addresses. The easiest way to do this is via the webmail service. Before downloading your email each morning using your email client (e.g. MS Outlook) follow these steps:

(i) Login to your mailbox - see (2) above.

(ii) Tick all the emails that are SPAM.

(iii) Click "Blacklist".

(iv) Tick all SPAM emails again and click "Delete" followed by "Purge Deleted" to erase them completely from your mailbox.

(v) Logout.
